Lest We Forget
Even following Remembrance Day, it is important to continue honouring the principle of “Lest We Forget.” This tribute extends not only to the men and women who have sacrificed their lives but also to the animals lost in service. The Purple Poppy serves as a symbol of remembrance for animals that served during both past and ongoing conflicts.
Since World War I, service animals have played a crucial role in military operations—a practice that continues even after veterans return home. Organizations such as Wounded Warriors of Canada and the PTSD Service Dog programs provide valuable assistance to service members today. Supporting these initiatives by donating to the PTSD Service Dog program through Wounded Warriors of Canada helps sustain much-needed services for veterans.
